This is one of the first songs I've felt proud of. It's vaguely inspired by witnessing a friend struggling with finishing a song that had been commissioned and for which the deadline was imminent. It's also meant as a more general metaphor to show that, though we may try, we can't help but being the whole sum of the good and the bad that we ceaselessly accumulate. Expressing that whole spectrum is the easiest and truest way of communicating heart to heart.
